Getting 100 homeless off the streets through jobs

[EN] - Opening a second location for our CFE

We know that in Argentina homelessness is not limited to the City of Buenos Aires. Although the last National Survey of Homeless People showed worrying results, especially in that area (where 85% of the surveyed cases were registered), it is also true that this census did not cover all the localities of the most populated area of the country: Gran Buenos Aires.

From our territorial work and the partial data obtained in this survey, we know that in this area there is a lot of work to be done in terms of social and labor inclusion; that is why we have managed with great effort a space where we can develop our activities in the town of San Martín, in the heart of Gran Buenos Aires.

This month we will start the first cycle of our Employment Training Center there, with the strong intention that our methodology can benefit even more people on their way to reinsertion.

[ES] - Abrimos una nueva sede para nuestro CFE

Sabemos que en Argentina el problema del sinhogarismo no se limita a la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Si bien el último Relevamiento Nacional de Personas en Situación de Calle arrojó resultados preocupantes especialmente en ese área (donde se registraron el 85% de los casos relevados), también es cierto que este censo no abarcó todas las localidades del área más poblada del país: el Gran Buenos Aires.

A partir de nuestro trabajo territorial y de los datos parciales obtenidos en dicho relevamiento sabemos que en esta zona hay mucho trabajo por hacer en materia de inclusión sociolaboral; es por eso que hemos gestionado con mucho esfuerzo un espacio donde desarrollar nuestras actividades en la localidad de San Martín, en pleno Gran Buenos Aires.

Este mes iniciaremos allí un primer ciclo de nuestro Centro de Formación para el Empleo, con la esperanza de que nuestra metodología pueda llegar a cada vez más personas en su camino de reinserción.
