Empowering Nepal's Children Through Education

By Emily Knudson | Director of Outreach and Philanthropy

Dear Friend,

We are excited to share the latest update from our project, Gift a Year of Elementary School to Nepal Children! Thanks to your generosity, children in some of Nepal’s most vulnerable communities are receiving the education they deserve. Your support has provided scholarships, school supplies, and essential learning materials to ensure these children can continue their studies and build a brighter future.

Our Impact So Far

Over the past year, Women for Conservation, in partnership with Birds Nepal, has provided scholarships to students in 12 different schools near Nepal’s vital biodiversity reserves. These scholarships help cover books, uniforms, school supplies, and transportation costs, ensuring that children from marginalized communities can stay in school and receive a quality education.

A Story of Hope: Meet Roshani

"My name is Roshani, and I am 10 years old. I love going to school, but my parents could not afford to buy me books or a uniform. Thanks to this scholarship, I can study, and my dream is to become a teacher one day. I also love learning about the birds in my village, and I want to protect them."

Roshani’s story reflects the deep connection between education and conservation. Through this program, children like her not only receive an education but also develop an appreciation for Nepal’s rich biodiversity.

Looking Ahead

As we enter 2025, our goal is to expand this scholarship program to reach even more students in remote communities. Education is a powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty while fostering the next generation of conservation leaders. With continued support, we can ensure that no child is forced to drop out due to financial hardship.

Join Us in Changing Lives

Your generosity is changing the trajectory of these children’s lives. Every scholarship provides more than just access to school—it offers hope, empowerment, and a chance to dream big.

Want to help us reach even more children in 2025? Donate today and be part of this life-changing mission.

With deep gratitude,
The Women for Conservation Team
