Hello valued supporters!
We are proud to report that we have received four final scores from the Ministry of Education for students who have completed our 6th year of this unique research program.
One of our graduates, Harel, who researched the effects of enrichment activities on the behavior of meerkats at the Zoo was awarded a score of 100 (!) by the Ministry of Education and received a scholarship to further his studies as well as a certificate of merit at the national science fair hosted by the Weizmann Institute of Science. Well done, Harel, we are incredibly proud of you!
Another excellent score of 99 was awarded to Sapir, who researched the effect of birth control implants on the behavior of the kangaroo group at the Zoo. A wonderful achievement!
We are no less proud of Batia who conducted research on invasive species at the zoo and their effect on animal feedings and nutrition; and Khen who researched the effects of olfactory enrichment on Persian leopards and Asian lions. Batia was awarded a score of 91 by the Ministry of Education; and Khen a score of 95 – congratulations!
We are awaiting the final scores of two other students and look forward to reporting to you further next time.
Your support makes it possible for these gifted students to fulfil their dreams! A very big thank you from us all.
