The Kasiisi Project wants to ensure that the Girls from Kasiisi Project Schools have accurate reproductive education. So we are starting a new initative to get the girls parents involved! This has historically been a cultural taboo but the Kasiisi Project is working closely with families to fight this taboo and create broader access to information.
Greater family mobility means that Aunts and Uncles, traditional sources of sexual information and advice, are now often living far away and parents are hampered by cultural taboos that prevent them talking to their children about sex.
Mothers and fathers in our schools have welcomed our innovative new project that will help them talk to their children about reproductive health by providing accurate information and effective communication skills.
