The Kasiisi Project has been busy working with staff and volunteers to ensure the young girls in the Kasiisi Schools are getting sanitary pads so that they can stay in school! We are dedicated to this cause and continue to work on making the distribution of sanitary pads sustainable in these rural Ugandan schools. The Kasiisi Project is also working with local clinics to facilitate the transport of the HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine to Kasiisi Schools and assist in accessing children, with parental consent, to vaccinate. The clinics will be vaccinating approximately 1000 ten year old children and ensuring these children get all three doses of the vaccination! We are proud to work with these clinics to ensure these children do not get HPV. For more information on HPV see the CDC website:
