Thanks to generous donations from the Mother's Day GlobalGiving Bonus Challenge, we have raised over $2000 for the Computer Literacy and Leadership Program. That's enough money to buy 3 computers out of the 5 we budgeted for! We're well on our way to getting the program set up for local girls to computer literacy skills as well as new technical skills such as research, writing, drawing and photographing as well as self-confidence which will help them in their future job searches. Once we are able to buy the 5 computers, benches and tables, we can get the program started at the already-existing multimedia center while we wait for additional funds for the rest of the supplies (paper, ink, etc.) to print the books.
