Empowerment is not an individual effort—it thrives on community and solidarity. When women come together, they create a support system that nurtures growth and resilience. Collective action amplifies impact, whether it's through advocacy campaigns, grassroots movements or local initiatives. Empowered women understand the importance of collaboration and use it to drive meaningful change.
Empowerment is not just a personal journey but a ripple effect that touches lives and transforms communities. When women rise, they uplift others, breaking barriers and creating a world where every woman can thrive fearlessly. Reaching Hand has always been in the forefront tackling issues on Health & Hygiene. Our team of women impart knowlege to students where it is easy to understand.
Kavya, a 10th grader from Chikkamandya High School, shared her thoughts on the Menstrual Hygiene session conducted by Reaching Hand, saying, "It was an enlightening experience." She emphasized how both she and her friends gained valuable insights into maintaining personal cleanliness during their periods. Additionally, exploring different types of sanitary products turned out to be a fresh and engaging topic of discussion for them.
Learning about the menstrual cup was a completely new experience for them and understanding its benefits proved to be very enlightening. The session also helped them overcome hesitation and encouraged them to speak confidently.
Our team also distributed chocolates during the session which added a fun element, making it more enjoyable & inspiring active participation.

Advika, a 6th-grade student at GHPS Hallahalli, shared her experience, saying, "I discovered the correct way to wear a sanitary pad and the necessity of changing it every few hours. I was thrilled to learn about the Pad Incinerator installed in our school and how to operate it. Additionally, we now have newly constructed toilet rooms, which is very exciting."
Our dedicated Team at Reaching Hand has been instrumental in empowering these young adolescent girls in government schools without their support this would not be possible.
Way forward:
- We aim to construct more toilet rooms and reach out to more schools that lack sanitaion and Hygiene.
- Additionally we also plan to support government schools with Janotors (Ayammas)
- To install incinerators in schools to promote sustainbility.
