As this year comes to an end, Fuel Relief Fund can be proud of its accomplishments and especially of its donors. We have had the privilege to meet some very generous and very unique people from all around the world. Our donors (you), volunteers and supporters have helped us reach out to help very many people who have been in need of assistance and that is what fuels us!
Here is just a sample of the many organizations who received our support in 2011.
In July of this year, Calvary Chapel in Rancho Cucamonga received $500 in prepaid gas cards. Times are very difficult for so many and Calvary Chapel is working to help those who are in dire need in their fellowship and community.
At the beginning of August, Crisis Intervention Fund received $500 in gas cards to help cover the cost of gasoline for a family. The family has a child with heart problems and have to drive all the way from Bakersfield to Los Angeles for very frequent treatment.
In early October, $1000 in gas cards was donated to The Bakersfield ARC, an organization that provides programs and services for developmentally disabled citizens and their families on a daily basis.
Just recently, in November, Family Services Association of Redlands received $1000 in gas cards to assist destitute families get by through tough times.
All of these organizations and the recipients of our gas cards are ever so thankful and humbled by your act of kindness. On behalf of these people, thank you and we wish you very happy holidays.
Sincerely,
Kris Salas
