In 2025, nearly 170 teachers joined our Leadership Development Program including 31 women in STEM. These teachers are expected to reach 13,600 students over their two-year placements. Our program focuses exclusively on schools scoring below the median on the national Index of Community Socio-Economic Advantage to ensure support reaches communities most in need. Your financial gifts help ensure this can happen.
Education’s influence extends beyond the classroom. Research shows a five-multiplier effect meaning these 13,600 students could indirectly benefit up to 68,000 people within families, peer networks and local communities. TFA teachers also influence staffrooms and schools as emerging leaders with studies suggesting quality educational leadership delivers a two-times return on investment. This means you can be even more proud of what you give - the impact is far greater than the dollar figure, and for that, we're exptremely grateful to you.
Here's a quick synopsis of the outcomes you're helping create:
Short-term outcomes
Cohort 2024 highlights:
28% of teachers relocated interstate
Teachers from 35 ethnic and cultural backgrounds and 20 industry backgrounds
Long-term outcomes
27% of alumni (312 of 1,141) hold leadership roles in schools or education systems
89% of alumni believe in their role in advancing educational equity
A personal story of impact:
Devika (not her real name) left her career as a university researcher to teach STEM and inspire the next generation. Coming from a Muslim background in India, she is driven to empower young women in STEM fields and believes great teaching can transform lives. Already, she has seen leadership potential bloom in one of her students—proof of the powerful ripple effect a teacher can create. You can watch her story here.
Without your support, students like Devika's might miss the opportunity to have themselves reflected in their teacher. We thank you for your extremely valuable financial gift, to ensure that students CAN be what they CAN see!
