Dear Donors,
Thank you to everyone who has supported the Give 500 Eyeglasses to Rural People with Albinism project. Your generosity shows care for people with albinism who face daily challenges due to poor eyesight and limited access to eye care in rural areas.
This project is planned to provide vision screening and 500 prescription eyeglasses to people with albinism living in rural communities. Many struggle with low vision and light sensitivity, which affects school, work, and daily tasks. Without eyeglasses, reading, moving around safely, and taking part in community life become difficult.
At this stage, although donations have been received, the amount raised is not enough to kickstart the project. We are unable to begin outreach visits, eye tests, or eyeglass production until additional support is secured.
We are continuing efforts to raise more funds so we can move forward with screenings, provide fitted eyeglasses, and share simple care guidance to help users maintain them. Once implementation begins, updates will be shared with our supporters.
Thank you for standing with people with albinism and helping reduce avoidable vision challenges in rural communities.
With appreciation,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
