Update on the progress report on

By James Rosita Nkeiruka | Project Leader

Thank you for your generous donation to PAD A YOUNG ADULT DAMSEL WITH SANITARY PAD A MONTH. Contributions like yours are continuing to make a difference. They are supporting Sam Onyemaechi humanitarian Foundation's response efforts and delivering crucial help and hope to people in need amid hostilities, constant stress, and difficult conditions away from home.

On the 21st of October 2022, Sam Onyemaechi Humanitarian Foundation received a grant of $20 000 through GlobalGiving from one of their corporate partners, Corteva, to Fight hunger and insecurity in Southeast, Nigeria.

We cannot but express our sincere heart of appreciation for your generosity towards our cause in "PAD A YOUNG ADULT DAMSEL WITH SANITARY PAD A MONTH".

We made an effort to diversify this grant to make sure that all aspects that affect food insecurity and hunger that bedeviled rural communities are touched. We tried our best to educate the indigents and Less privileged rural communities on the need to be self reliance and to utilize every opportunity to be independent of themselves, to start a small and medium size business.

We initiated a body termed "Gender justice® and women's rights initiative program" to fight for the rights of women in all spheres of life . Seminars and workshops are organized twice in every month to speak on these projects:

1) PAD A YOUNG ADULT DAMSEL WITH SANITARY PAD A MONTH

2) Help fight against gender-base violence in Southeast Nigeria

3) Train 3k widows in snail farming in Southeast, Nigeria

4) Fostering women entrepreneurship in the digital Economy
We constituted fourteen personnel who organized workshops and seminars to look into the aforementioned project topics that concern women empowerment and development.

We channeled this grant into our project causes:
a) Fighting hunger and food insecurity in Southeast, Nigeria,

b) Food processing and packaging machine

c) Post- covid-19 recovery package

d) Training 3k widows in snail farming in Southeast, Nigeria,

e) Mentoring 5000 women Entrepreneurs in Southeast, Nigeria

f) Expedite young-adult empowerment initiative in Southeast

g) Give succour and Refuge to the poor and homeless.

h) help fight climate action in s/east nigeria,

i) Feed 5000 children on their children's charity day,

j) Send a child to school in the rural southeast,

k) PAD A YOUNG ADULT DAMSEL WITH SANITARY PAD A MONTH

We tried to make sure that this grant is used judiciously in all areas to fight hunger and food insecurity and to enhance their living standard.

We procured Equipment for food processing and packaging and this received the greater chunk of the grant. We discovered that buying more equipment for food processing and packaging machines will benefit a lot from the sustainability and financial stability of the organization. Whatever the proceeds, will be channeled towards fighting hunger and food insecurity, we used 35% of the grant in providing equipment to produce more food so as to fight hunger and food insecurity in the southeast.

Below is how we receive money and how it was used.
