Enhancing education and digital literacy

By Tatjana Dimitrova | Project Leader

Dear supporters,

We express our deepest gratitude for making the mission of enhancing education and knowledge accessible to those who need it most. Through your support, we were able to continue the school children program in the last quarter, providing additional educational support for the children and advisory support for the parents, with around 30 children and their parents included in the program.

The children are attending our Educative Centre divided in smaller groups and our educators are using individual approach and the model of learning through creativity and play while working with the children. Our regular activities during the last quarter focused on learning the Macedonia language, homework completion, reading support and math help were enriched with the digital literacy program. After the intensive trainings, we have our digital literacy peer educators, who actively shared their knowledge with the children who visit our Center, and also organized trainings with other children from the community. This method of peer education is always well accepted by the children and that makes us especially happy. These activities have contributed to bridge the existing gap and helped the Roma children and parents improve their digital skills and knowledge, increase their access to digital technology, and empower them to better navigate the digital world.

This quarter was filled with joyful events and celebrations as well. The children were preparing special performance for participation in the Diplomatic Charity Bazaar in our country, where they cheered up the atmosphere with their performance and thus gave their personal contribution to the support of children with disabilities.

The children enjoyed and celebrated the giving season starting with Giving Tuesday celebration and campaign at our Centre with initiating small act of giving and kindness in the community.

The New Year celebration at our Centre was one more joyful event for the children, and receiving Christmas packages brought so much happiness and smiles. We started 2024 with many wishes for progress and equal opportunities for all children and this journey would not be possible without the continued support of compassionate donors like you. Your support not only funds textbooks and educational materials, but also gives them access to safe space where they discover their potentials and build peer network based on friendship, shared interests and shared dreams. Together, we are creating a ripple effect of positive change that extends beyond the walls of the Centre, impacting families, communities, and the future of our shared world.

Thank you for joining hands with CSI NADEZ in making the dreams of these young minds a reality. Let's empower them with the gift of education, unlocking doors to a world where every child has the chance to dream, learn, and thrive.
