Dear Donors,
We sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to the Give 988 Niger Delta Girls Reusable Menstrual Cups project. Your support reflects care for girls whose education is affected by lack of safe menstrual supplies.
In many rural parts of the Niger Delta, girls miss school every month because disposable pads are costly and hard to find. Some are forced to use cloth or tissue, which can cause infections, discomfort, and embarrassment. These repeated absences create learning gaps and, for some girls, lead to dropping out of school entirely.
This project plans to provide 988 girls with reusable menstrual cups, hygiene kits, and clear menstrual health guidance. Each cup can be used for up to ten years, removing the ongoing cost of pads. Female health workers will lead small group sessions to explain safe use, cleaning, and storage, helping girls feel confident and informed.
At this point, although donations have been received, the amount available cannot fund the project yet. Procurement of menstrual cups, hygiene kits, and training activities will begin once additional support is secured.
With full funding, this project will help girls attend school consistently, manage their health safely, and move through adolescence with dignity. It will also reduce waste from disposable pads and encourage open discussion around menstrual care in rural communities.
Thank you for standing with girls and supporting their right to education and health.
Kind regards,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
