The bottom line up front is that thanks to your continued financial support we are able to continue to serve over 130 Mali’s vulnerable children during these periods of uncertainty, allowing them to have a brighter future!  Your support remains the foundation that makes this life-changing work possible!

The Malian operating context became more complex this quarter, after a coordinated terrorist attack across multiple Malian cities in Apr 2026!  But we are prevailing!  Despite the uncertainty and concerns, we quickly took adequate measures to keep our children safe, and our core programs continue uninterrupted!

After having completed a very successful academic year, Children are now on summer break!  Our year end assessment revealed a 50% overall students’ performance.  ACFA’s children achieved a 96% passing grade for the next year! This year, ACFA registered a 67% success in the Mali national Baccalaureate while the entire country’s success rate was only 34%!   All this is a result of our newly implemented structured after-school tutoring program! 

As with every year, to close the successful completion of the academic year, ACFA hosted an end-of-year celebration for all our students.  Friend and family members were invited to join in the festivities, creating a joyful atmosphere of community support.  The event featured music, games, special meals, and recognition of students’ achievements throughout the year.  It provided an opportunity for the children to celebrate their hard work, share their accomplishments with loved ones, and enjoy fellowship with friends, families, teachers, and caregivers.  The gathering highlighted the resilience, growth, and accomplishments of the children while reinforcing ACFA’s commitment to fostering a strong sense of belonging and community.  

Our moto is “bringing hope to Mali’s vulnerable children” and despite these tough times, we remain committed to providing these children education, nutritious meals, healthcare and safe shelter!   

But we can’t do it alone!
