There are 48 women who are currently enrolled in the tailoring schools, and they will spend six months learning how to sew and stitch.
Many women living in poverty are uneducated and earn little to no wages. With a valuable skill like sewing, these women have an opportunity to provide a good income for themselves and their families
Women like Laxmi are grateful for your support. Laxmi lost both of her parents from AIDS when she was only10 years old. She has been living with her grandmother since she became an orphan. As Laxmi got older, she was concerned about her future and she didn't know what she was going to do support herself. Thankfully, she applied for the tailoring school and got accepted.
Laxmi learned how to stitch and sew in six months and developed confidence in her new skills. Laxmi graduated for the tailoring school and is now earning a good income. She feels so happy that she’s able to support herself and her grandmother.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity in helping women like Laxmi.
