Dear Friend,
Thank you for empowering women in India and providing them with a sewing machine. Your gift is helping poor women have the opportunity to attend a tailoring school where they learn how to sew.
Many women live in poor, rural villages and have little education or skills for work. Your gift is life changing. After 6 months of training, they receive a free sewing machine along with a certificate of completion.
Thirty-six women recently completed their training. There are nine schools in operation and they have a total of 96 women enrolled in their classes.
Because of your compassion, you are helping women like Aruna support her family. She is married and has two young girls. Her husband's wages aren't enough to meet the family's daily expenses. Aruna wanted to learn tailoring so she could do something with her hands to earn money. She wanted to help her family thrive.
Aruna has graduated from a government certified tailoring program. She received a new sewing machine and is now helping to support her family by sewing clothes! Her girls have a great role model in their mom. Thank you for changing Aruna's life and the lives of her whole family.
