In the displaced camps of Atmeh, northern Syria, thousands of families continue to face immense hardship, with water scarcity standing as one of the most urgent challenges to their survival and well-being. Overcrowded conditions, limited water sources, and damaged infrastructure have left families struggling daily to secure clean water for drinking and basic needs.
In response, Saed Charity launched a Water Distribution Project in Atmeh Camps, aiming to provide a sustainable supply of clean water to displaced families. Through coordinated efforts, water tankers were dispatched regularly to the camps, ensuring that every household received sufficient quantities of safe water for drinking, cooking, and household use.
The impact of this initiative was deeply felt among residents, as it alleviated their suffering and reduced the spread of waterborne diseases caused by unsafe sources. The project restored dignity, stability, and a sense of relief to hundreds of families who had been living under the constant threat of thirst.
Saed Charity emphasizes that such interventions remain vital as the humanitarian needs in northern Syria continue to grow. The organization calls upon donors and partners to help sustain water access for displaced communities—because in these camps, every drop of clean water represents life, hope, and resilience for those who have endured too much.
