Displaced families in Syria face a severe shortage of clean water, increasing the risk of disease, malnutrition, and negatively affecting the health of children and the elderly. Water infrastructure has been heavily damaged by the ongoing conflict, and many camps are in hard-to-reach areas for humanitarian organizations.
Saed for Relief and Development implemented a water distribution project in targeted camps, delivering clean water to the most vulnerable families via water tankers. Water purification tablets were provided to ensure safe drinking, along with hygiene kits.
This initiative allowed families to access clean water without traveling long distances, reducing the spread of waterborne diseases. It also helped preserve the dignity of displaced households and mitigated the health risks they face.
Coordination with local authorities facilitated the repair of wells and water storage tanks, creating more sustainable water sources and raising awareness among families about proper hygiene and water handling practices.
Despite these efforts, the demand for clean water remains high. Saed Charity continues to expand the project to reach more camps and a larger number of beneficiaries, aiming to improve public health and the overall quality of life for displaced families.
