Give Disabled Dogs Lifelong Care In New Shelter

We are thrilled to announce that we have placed a deposit on the land we have selected for our new shelter. It's incredibly exciting to see this land purchase moving forward.

The BIG news is that we have negotiated to purchase a much LARGER plot of land than we initially planned. As we began our search for a suitable space, it became clear that we were in the midst of a land-market boom in India. We quickly recognised the necessity of purchasing a piece of land that would serve our needs for many years to come. Although this has required us to stretch our finances significantly, we are confident it was the right decision. At times, we worried that we might not even find a suitable site close enough to our hospital, so we are absolutely delighted to have secured this plot. We are very pleased to share our initial photos of the land and location with you.

We wanted to tell you about one of our new shelter’s future residents, our shining star, Thelma! When we rescued her, she was in a heartbreaking condition—sad and unable to walk. With our dedicated care, love, and physiotherapy, she has rediscovered her joy for life and can walk again. Since recovery she has her own funny, wonky way of walking, so she will remain with us as a shelter dog. We are confident that she will thrive in one of our dog gardens once they are built at the new shelter.
