Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting this important project to provide safe drinking water to neglected communities in North Central Nigeria. Your support shows care for families who face daily hardship just to find water.
Across these rural villages, access to clean water remains a serious challenge. An estimated 370,000 people depend on unsafe sources, exposing children, women, and the elderly to diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and diarrhea. Many walk long distances to fetch water, risking injury and losing valuable time for school and work.
This project is designed to address these problems by installing four manual pump boreholes in the most affected villages. These boreholes are affordable, easy to maintain, and will provide reliable access to clean water. Safe water will reduce disease, ease the burden on women and children, and improve overall community health.
In our previous efforts, we provided one carton (12 units) of Water Guard to an IDP camp where contaminated water had caused diarrhea due to rusted borehole pipes. Since then, no further intervention has been possible due to limited funds. However, we remain hopeful as we work toward reaching our goal.
Thank you for standing with these communities.
With thanks,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
