By Andrew Jackson | Operations Manager
The close of 2024 brought with it a major shift in our operations – a new location. Due to rent hikes, Rafiki Girls Centre has moved and since we came back in early January we have been fast getting ready for the newest intake of girls.
Orientation began on 21st January 2025 for Intake 45 and we are so proud to be seamlessly delivering our much-needed programme of activities for vulnerable young women. Over the coming months they will build skills and bonds with each other. We will develop their abilities to manage their finances, their administration, their families and their lives. We will give them the confidence to believe in themselves and change their path for the better.
With other intakes ahead of them the way forward is clear. Train-up, become a nurse aid, a pre-school teacher, a dress maker and so on. From there go out and earn independently. Support yourselves, help your families, don’t be vulnerable to exploitation, make your mark on the world.
Thank you to everyone who supports our work.
