At the Rafiki Girls Centre, our vocational training programme recently equipped young, vulnerable women with practical skills and renewed confidence to build independent lives. Through hands-on training, participants gained the tools needed to secure livelihoods, make informed choices, and step forward as self-reliant women shaping their own futures.
At the same time, group and individual counselling played a vital role in supporting healing and recovery. In safe, supportive spaces, young women were able to address past trauma, rebuild self-worth, and develop healthy coping strategies - helping them move beyond survival toward resilience and lasting independence.
The Hotel & Catering class built essential, job-ready skills through hands-on vocational training. Participants learned food preparation techniques, professional service standards, and gained deeper insight into the hospitality industry, equipping them with the knowledge, confidence, and practical experience needed to enter the world of work.
Thanks to all in these tough times - we remain hopeful and on mission.
