Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting the Give Goats & Poultry to 500 Ugandan Single Mothers project. We sincerely appreciate your generosity and concern for women working hard to provide for their families despite difficult circumstances.
Many single mothers in rural Uganda face daily challenges caused by poverty, limited income opportunities, and food insecurity. Without productive assets or stable sources of income, many households struggle to afford nutritious meals, healthcare, school expenses, and other basic needs. These challenges affect not only mothers but also the wellbeing and future opportunities of their children.
We are grateful for the donations received so far. However, the funds currently available are not sufficient to begin implementation of the project. Additional support is needed before livestock procurement, beneficiary selection, veterinary services, training activities, and distribution can commence.
This project aims to provide 500 single mothers with goats, poultry, basic animal care supplies, and practical training. The livestock will help families produce food such as milk and eggs while also creating opportunities to generate income through the sale of animals and animal products. Training will help beneficiaries care for their livestock and manage small income-generating activities more effectively.
Ownership of livestock can provide families with resources that continue generating value long after the initial distribution. Beyond improving access to food, these assets can help mothers meet household expenses, support their children's education, and build greater financial stability.
We remain committed to launching this project and continue working toward the resources needed to begin the first phase. As progress is made, we look forward to sharing updates, photographs, and stories from the women and families who will benefit from this support.
Thank you for helping create opportunities for rural single mothers to strengthen their livelihoods and support their families.
Warm regards,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
