Dear Friends,
We are growing again! And so are our kids! With the start of the new year, we accepted additional children to our Delia's Center for Special Needs Kids and we now have 46 children aged 4 - 17 years-old! Our Wellness Director has her hand's full cooking nutritious lunches and preparing delicious fresh juices and snacks. She has been getting so creative that words can't capture it so lots of photos with this report so you can see for yourself. Last summer, we introduced Kids Get Cooking as a fun activity for July and August. It was such a hit with the children that we have continued it and do small group meal preparation together. You can see in one of the attached photos.
Thank you for making our Nutrition Program possible. For many of our kids, the meal they receive at our Center is the only healthy food they have that day. Please consider continuing to support our Program so that we can provide this level of nutriton as we expand and provide services to more of those children who need our help.We love that we have grown to the 46 kids and we want to be able to feed them properly! Laura Larkin and I will be back in Barlad at this time next week! We are so excited to be spending time with the children and our amazing team. We will be sure to take lots of new photos to share in our next update to you!
