Dear Donors,
We sincerely thank the donor who has supported the Give Rural Villages Clean and Safe Drinking Water project. Your kindness reflects care for communities that continue to struggle with access to safe water. At this stage, however, the amount received is still not enough to begin installation of the boreholes.
In many villages across North Central Nigeria, families depend on unsafe water sources for daily use. This exposes them to illnesses such as cholera, typhoid, and diarrhea. Women and children often travel long distances to fetch water, facing physical strain and losing time that could be used for school or other activities.
The absence of clean water affects health, education, and daily living. Without a nearby source, communities remain vulnerable to repeated sickness and hardship.
This project is designed to install manual pump boreholes in selected villages to provide safe and reliable drinking water. These systems are simple to maintain and can serve entire communities for many years.
With access to clean water, families can reduce illness, improve hygiene, and ease the burden of long-distance water collection. Children will have more time for school, and communities can begin to experience better living conditions.
We are grateful for the support already received. With additional contributions, it will be possible to move forward and bring safe water closer to those who need it most.
Sincerely,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
