“My name is Asman Bigirimana and I’m 23 years old. I finished my secondary school last year, in 2024.
I was a street-connected child till the age of six. I got the opportunity to live in one of the houses in Muyinga(where New Generation Burundi would conduct activities in favor of street-connected children).
I started going to primary school in Muyinga and New Generation paid my school fees.
I came to Bujumbura in 2010 and continued my studies. I chose Economics as my field of study, since I want to open my own microfinance company and become an entrepreneur.
The income generated from the micro-finance would help towards building a hospital for street-connected children where they can access good quality halthcare. I wish to pursue Accounting & Management at University. I’m also interested in farming and growing vegetables.”
We are extremely grateful for every single donation we receive, through Street Action, in helping to bring a transformation in the lives of street-connected children in Burundi, and giving them an opportunity to dream big!
A big thank you to our existing and new supporters!
