Access to clean water remains one of the most urgent humanitarian needs during prolonged droughts and natural disasters in Indonesia. Throughout the first half of 2026, BAZNAS, through its Disaster Response Unit (BAZNAS Tanggap Bencana), continued to provide emergency clean water services to vulnerable communities experiencing severe water shortages.
From January to July 2026, BAZNAS successfully distributed 1,196,000 liters of clean water across multiple provinces, ensuring that thousands of families had access to safe water for drinking, cooking, hygiene, and sanitation.
As climate variability continues to increase the frequency and severity of droughts across Indonesia, BAZNAS remains committed to expanding both emergency water distribution and sustainable water infrastructure. Future efforts will prioritize strengthening community resilience through improved water access, rehabilitation of water systems, and disaster preparedness initiatives.
With the continued support of partners and donors, BAZNAS aims to ensure that vulnerable communities across Indonesia can access safe, reliable, and sustainable sources of clean water whenever disasters strike.
