Giving foods to 68 children in Quang Tri, Vietnam

The program to support children in Quang Tri continues to be maintained. We still support milk and food to children monthly thanks to the interest and donations from benefactors.

In the past 4 months, thanks to the donations of GlobalGiving sponsors we have brought 1440 boxes of milk and 22 cans of famula milk to children. The children always look forward to the day when the milk truck arrives, we spread our love to the milk deliveryman, he often brings the whole cake to give to the children too.

On Children's Day, children are not going to the amusement park or buying new clothes, but as long as they have a full meal, an extra cake or a milk box, they are happy all day. The children are given more nutrition, better health, each box of milk is like a gift.

At Cam Lo shelter, the person in charge shared, the children are healthier, active and physically well developed.

At Lam Bich shelter, the positive development of children also speaks to the meaning of the program.

Thanks to the donations of benefactors, we are still able to support milk to children at 2 homeless shelters in Quang Tri. Up to now, we are supporting 70 children in Quang Tri.

At Cam Lo, 32 children are still provided with milk every day. The person in charge of the shelter shared with us that, if we drink milk regularly, their children are healthier. Their joy is that they will pick up a milk delivery truck every month.

Dry food is delivered monthly by Mai Linh - Quang Tri Peace& Happiness Shop (Lotus Charity Foundation’s Charity restaurant) to supplement basic food sources for children. We understand that in order for children to develop better, their most basic need needs to be met: food.

At Lam Bich, babies have not been given breast milk since birth, completely dependent on formula milk. For such babies, whose body is weak, maintaining milk supply is extremely important. M.H, 7 months old and M.S, 3 months old, we have supported milk for them since the early days, their resistance are better, they don’t have to go to the hospital often anymore.

With the contribution from GlobalGiving, you have contributed the equivalent of 2,000 boxes of fresh milk (180ml/box), 22 cans of formula milk and dry food to deliver to the children.

We hope that the project will receive more attention and disadvantaged children will continue to be supported and grow up healthy.
