Like you, families around the world are doing whatever they can to stay safe. With so many health care systems and governments overwhelmed by this crisis, it’s the strength of communities that will determine how we all get through this.

We are launching emergency preparedness and response programs around the world to limit the spread of coronavirus and defend the rights of those who are most at risk. Building on decades of local partnerships, our global response includes the distribution of hygiene kits, public health education, and advocacy for public services.

Your donation goes a long way to support communities on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic.

• Support workers in India: Help distribute food packages to more than 55,000 of the most vulnerable families. With 1.3 billion people ordered to stay at home, informal workers such as domestic workers and street vendors will have no way to earn a living during the lockdown.
• Stand with rural women in Liberia: Building on partnerships from the Ebola crisis, join local women’s rights organizations and rural women leaders to distribute life-saving health information and combat violence against women.
• Strengthen women’s collectives in Kenya: Spread information and myth-busting leaflets to communities through a network of women’s collectives and community groups. Communicating the right information is vital in informal settlements, which are overcrowded and likely to be worst affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
