Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing goats to poor women in order to improve their nutrition and income. This initiative remains the most important for our work here because goats are easy to raise and the demand for meat and milk in the market is always high. One of the problems faced by women goat raisers is the lack of highly nutritious forage crops for the goats. Fully realizing this problem, we provided them with improved grasses planted in our demonstration farms in order for goat raisers to have access to planting materials. We were able to grow 15 types of highly nutritious forage and we hope to distribute them in the next few months. Again thank you very much for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Uy

Forage seed re-packing by children
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing goats for women in order to improve their nutrition and income. We are happy to note that support to this project is on-going and our leaders concerned with agriculture is keen on multiplying this. They see the benefit of raising goats because the animals are easy to raise and do not require much food only grasses in order to grow and multiply. Goat meat also is a delicacy and sought-after in local restaurants and during festivities. This reporting period we promoted to farmers the growing of local grasses that have high nutritional value as feed for the goats. Seeds of these grasses are difficult to procure and we used your support in order to purchase them for distribution. We were able to reach-out to 32 farmers in this way. Hoping for your continuing support. Thank you so much.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances

Providing forage source
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support to our initiative promoting goat raising for women's nutrition and income. The raising of goats is one of the best recovery effort for farmers especially women because goats are prolific, easy to raise and do not require much purchased food in order for them to grow. They thrive on grasses around the farm so they are cheap to raise. This reporting period thanks also to local supporters, we were able to promote agro-reforestation and enjoin farming families to raise fruit and timber trees including the raising of forage-type trees and grasses for feed to the goats. There are instances that neighbors quarrel because of competition in grazing areas and access to forage and we want to prevent this. We were able to provide 20 goat raisers with initial supply of seedlings for this purpose. Again, thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances Uy
