By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing goats to poor farming families. We are happy to report that our project is gaining traction with the support of a local government agency providing some breeder stocks in order to improve the progeny of local goats. Years of raising goats is prone to in-breeding and there is a need to improve stocks in order to get greater yield of milk and meat. We are also preparing our farmers for the severe El Nino phenomenon by the planting of companion crops like vegetables and root crops so that they are able to widen their food base and mitigate the impact of the severe weather. A total of 32 farmers participated in this venture and we hope to increase the number as we continue working with them. Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre
