Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your kind support to our project to provide goats for poor farming families here. Our strategy is to create goat-raising associations or clubs that will learn together how to raise goats in a more efficient and productive manner. Without the training, mortality of the goats is high since they get sick easily. Training also include how to feed the goats with nutritious forage coming from the farm. We already have 175 benficiaries in this project and it will be difficult for us to supervise them individually thus the need for the formation of interest groups. In this way also it is easy for municipal technicians which we partner to conduct capacity-building and to treat the goats on a regular basis. This reporting period, we are able to form 9 associations located in 2 municipalities in Zamboanga del Norte.
