Hello Israel Aquarium Supporters!
Since we last reported to you, we continued to operate the running-in period of the Aquarium on the basis of scheduled guided tours which must be arranged in advance via our website. Now that the summer school vacation has begun in Israel, we are stepping up our pace and selling individual tickets so that people are not bound to visit as part of a guided tour. Tickets still need to be purchased in advance for a specific time (because we are limited by fire regulations as to the maximum number of people allowed in the building at any one time) but visitors can wander freely and our guides are stationed at strategic places throughout the facility to offer explanations, answer questions and do feedings and demonstrations.
The visitor experience is approximately 80% complete at this stage. Now that we have completed staff training and stabilized the systems, we are now focusing on completing the animal collection. This is a complex, time-consuming and expensive effort. We are confident that we now have a well-trained professional team who will follow the correct protocols to ensure the health and welfare of our animals. Many other factors can affect the outcome but the best way that you can help us is by continuing to support us so that we have the funding necessary to reach our goal.
Thank you for your continued support which is so very much appreciated!
