Installing the underwater tunnel
Installing the underwater tunnel

Hello Israel Aquarium Supporters!

So much has been happening these past months, we hardly know where to begin! Here are the most exciting highlights of what has been happening recently:

  • The last and most imporessive of the acrylic tank “window” panels have been installed on site. The very large Mediterranean Sea exhibit panel and underwater tunnel are a first in terms of size and design in Israel. The large panel is some 4 meters high and will be a breathtaking experience for visitors.
  • The Breeding and Quarantine area system installation is complete and systems are now being tested with a view to operation.
  • Construction of the access road and parking for the facility is well underway.
  • The iconic fish facade of the buildling has been installed.
  • Last but certainly not least, the first tank has been filled with water!! See the videos below to witness this exciting moment.

We look forward to reporting on more progress in the coming months. Things are certainly happening!

With thanks and appreciation for your continued support,

Team Aquarium at the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo
