Hello Israel Aquarium Supporters!
We are moving ahead at the Aquarium and every day sees more progress towards completion.
Exciting news – all of our tanks have been filled with water and we are in the process of leaching the tanks (treating the concrete) before they are filled with seawater and animals.
The first tank that is ready to receive animals is the large Red Sea exhibit which will double as a quarantine tank until we have received most of our animals. Take a look at the beautiful pictures below – a taste of what is to come. Soon you’ll see pictures of the same tank teeming with fish! Speaking of which, we hope to receive the first large shipment of animals in the next two to three weeks.
Solar panels are also currently being installed on what will be the green roof of the building.
Another exciting development is the installation of our first pilot educational sign. The remaining signs are nearing completion so stay tuned for more in our next report.
With thanks and appreciation for your continued support,
Team Aquarium at the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo
