Successful Installation of a Gravity Water Flow Scheme in Village Basti Rahka Shakaryia
Alkhidmat Foundation is pleased to announce the successful installation of a new Gravity Water Flow Scheme in Village Basti Rahka Shakaryia, located in the scenic yet underserved Jehlum Valley of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).
Project Highlights:
Over 300 individuals will now have daily access to clean and safe drinking water
Water is supplied through natural gravity, ensuring sustainability and minimal operational cost
This initiative addresses the chronic issue of water scarcity in remote, hilly regions
The project helps eliminate the need for women and children to walk long distances to fetch water
Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), this project improves health, reduces waterborne diseases, and uplifts the overall quality of life for the community.
