Title: Free Clean Water for Flood-Affected Families in Remote Pakistan
Summary
Alkhidmat Foundation is providing free clean drinking water to families living in remote, flood-affected areas of Pakistan. This initiative is helping protect vulnerable communities from waterborne diseases and ensuring safe access to one of life’s most basic needs.
Story / Update
The devastating floods across Pakistan washed away not only homes and livelihoods but also damaged water sources, leaving thousands of families without access to safe drinking water. In many villages, people were forced to rely on contaminated water, increasing the risk of diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, and typhoid.
To respond to this urgent need, Alkhidmat launched a Clean Water Initiative in remote flood-hit regions. Through water filtration plants, tankers, and mobile water distribution, we are delivering free, safe, and clean water to affected families daily.
For children, women, and elderly people living in makeshift shelters, this intervention is life-saving. Clean water has restored dignity and hope, allowing families to focus on rebuilding their lives rather than struggling for survival.
Beneficiaries
Direct Impact: Thousands of families in flood-affected rural areas.
Target Group: Displaced families, especially children and women, at high risk of waterborne illnesses.
Impact
Immediate relief from drinking unsafe water.
Reduction in waterborne diseases among affected families.
Improved health, dignity, and resilience in disaster-hit communities.
Next Steps
Alkhidmat aims to expand clean water access by installing more filtration plants, running additional mobile water units, and ensuring long-term safe water solutions in rural and disaster-prone areas.
