YOU ARE THE CHANGE MAKER!

Dear Friends,

We hope you are safe and healthy!

During this past few months we have been working on dfferent ways of imporving our educational program, we believe there is always a chance to become a little better.

As you know our main service at the foundation is educatong our parter organizations but we are humbled and honored to also learn and improve.

This current crisis we are all facing has given us big lessons, we have been working from home for more than 50 days.

We now miss our classroons full of questions, ideas, opinions respect, laughs and love.

We think this virus will be around for longer than we all think, for this reason we have started training our partners and making the adjustments needed to adjust to our new reality.

We are focusing on teaching our community organizations how to stay alive using the most importan and maybe only tool we have available now, INTERNET!

Our online trainings are focusing on fundrsising, social media managment, learning about different platfomrs that can be used with staff to work efficiently.

We are also taking care of the emotinal part, having to take care of the community, while you are quarantined at home sometimes working longer than they were used to can affect your physical and emotinal health, offering them metdation techniques, yoga sessions, massege techiniques for stress, etc, help them fell better and have more energy to contunie working with a positive mind

You have made this possible, we will contunue offering this valuable services to keep everybody alive, please keep in mind you are part of this big family and great positive change.

If you can, we encourage you to please share this story with your family and friends, dont let the hearts of this community organizations stop beating!

Hearts of Gold CAP Achievements

During this three month period, we have seen a lot of progress in the Community Assistance Program (CAP). We are the only organization in the country that provides education for the leaders of nonprofit organizations. The results we have achieved through training and mentoring are evident. Hearts of Gold is part of building a more humane society with more opportunities for our children, teenagers and families to have a better future.

Currently, our partners in CAP have learned many lessons which have benefited in their day to day operations. In this period, Nova, El Arenal, Kallpa Warmi, Osso, Cetap Lucy, Mírame and Soup Kitchen have achieved a good score in the six areas of their CAP evaluations (Programs, Marketing and Communication, Volunteer Management, Fundraising, Donor Management, Transparency).

With NOVA, we have completed mentoring hours to help them create a fundraising campaign and apply what they learned in previous workshops. The campaign is ready and will be launched in the next few days. Please stay tuned.

With the Soup Kitchen project, we have helped them restructure their program so they are able to offer nutritious meals and reduce costs. This means that they will have be able to offer their services for a longer period of time.

Cetap Lucy has been able to start with a new sexual abuse prevention project. They have also been more active in event fundraising and creating alliances.

El Arenal Foundation is still working on funding their nutritional program for the year. They have been able to build a better staff environment and are working on improving their volunteer management.

The Kallpa Warmi collective received mentoring hours to help them manage new resources and new donors. They also have a new board of directors, which it allows them to organize themselves in a better way.

Finally, we have made an improvement in our Community Assistance Program evaluation system. The new template consists of quantitative and qualitative measurements for each learning achievement. Scores will be uploaded to our website with graphic representations, so our partners can see which level they are on. We hope that this will motivate organizations to put more effort into learning and achieving the best score. At the end of the training year, an award will be given to the organization with the highest score.

EDUCATING COMMUNITIES FROM THE HEART

We feel that education is the best tool for building a more equitable and supportive society, as well as being the strongest weapon to change the world.

We are happy to be the only and pioneer organization in the community assistance program in order to educate leaders of nonprofit organizations on sustainability and sustainability issues. All the great results achieved so far are thanks to your contribution and trust.

During this period with our Community Assistance Program, many goals have been achieved, we have opened the third year of the 100% practical community assistance program, before starting the practical part we evaluated our partner organizations in all areas to see if there is balance and good management in the concepts already learned, based on those results we are sure that not only should the mind be educated but we must also educate the heart, this is why this period with our partners 2019: Nova, El Arenal, Kallpa Warmi, Osso, Cetap Lucy and Soup kitchen, we have provided soul education workshops, giving a training in Tapping and alternative therapies so that they learn new techniques starting with taking care of the personal and emotional side of each staff member so that they can then work collectively to serve and educate the beneficiaries of organizations.

This year we have been able to work with LIBRE foundation from Europe, they have worked with us for 3 consecutive years educating community leaders, offering a full week conference on Leadership and Communication. This year we have been able to host 20 new organizations for training, this workshop was quite practical and lasted for 40 hours.

We have also offers mentoring hours to NOVA, monitoring and training them on how to use social media correctly and also preparing them for their fundraising campaign.
