Green Rebuild Toolkit - April 2023

Hello Friend,

The Black Summer bushfires in Australia destroyed 5,900 buildings and homes. 2.9 million people had their homes damaged, threatened, or were temporarily displaced. The Green Rebuild Toolkit is a set of resources developed by Renew to help people rebuild their homes and increase resistance to future climate disasters. Now in its second phase, the Green Rebuild Toolkit is expanding to include profiles of Australia’s most fire-resilient homes.

Nigel Bell from ECODesign Architects continues to assess the submitted designs from Renew's Beyond BAL competition, to feature as best practice case studies on our Green Rebuild Toolkit website, supporting bushfire impacted communities to build back for resilience.

We are looking forward to our Beyond BAL reseachers presenting their findings later in the year, and then developing a new series of events showcasing the case studies.
