Honey for Sale!

By Monika Goforth | Guatemala Programs Director

New Labels and Bottles!
New Labels and Bottles!

Wow,  these kids really took our investment seriously. The Honey Cooperative sends you a big THANK YOU for belieiving in them this year!

From January's loss of members, loss of bee hives, low honey production and low morale...

We're now producing more honey, reaching new markets and stabilizing their business plan to make a sustainable income!

Miel Q'aniel, the cooperative's official name has now branded their product "Utz Kab" Tzutujil for Good Honey.

They are using beautiful recycled wine and rum bottles for containers now, and will be adding a label in English explaining the environmental benefits of honey production for a sustainable local economy.

They've also started publicity campaigns on Facebook to recieve visitors and sell honey, delivered to your door!

Your help has made a huge impact on these young entrepreneur's lives. I see so much more positivity in their attitudes towards the future, now that their fledgling project is coming off the ground.

Much more than environmental sustainability and income-earning opportunities, your investment in the Youth Group's honey cooperative has given them hope for the future and the motivation to keep going despite the obstacles.

An anonymous donor is matching monthly donations over $25 this December up to $200!

Please consider signing up to support Giovani, Jeremias and their Co-op friends with apiculture training and business consulting to help them stabilize their microbusiness to earn a profit they can re-invest from.

The Bee Boys believe in their power to change their lives. We do too.
