The first semester of the project in 2021 was not easy for the education of refugee children in Jordan, but despite the difficult moments of the pandemic, we were able to continue the project month by month, to make sure the right to education was guaranteed.
At the beginning of the year, classes were in virtual mode. Then in February, we returned to the presence (taking all the hygiene and protection measures), but then considering the increase of COVID-19 infections, we had to hold the classes again in a virtual way.
One of our teachers, Ayat, said: “I think that virtual learning is complemented and enriched a lot with going to classes in a physical way”. This is in part why we are always advocating to have classes in a physical way. We know that it is important for children and their families.
During these months we also helped children and families with school materials and hygiene products.
We want to help all of those who are collaborating to guarantee the right to education a reality for all these children!
