Father Ángel and a team from Mensajeros de la Paz have traveled to Jordan to reinforce partnerships and deliver direct aid to refugee families, especially those who have fled the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
The visit was marked by deeply moving moments, including the case of a young girl in urgent need of open-heart surgery. She, her mother, and siblings were suffering from severe malnutrition and multiple infections. Thanks to our local partners, they received immediate medical attention at a hospital that supports refugee families.
From the border with the West Bank, where we collaborate with Catholic groups to facilitate the delivery of food into Gaza, Father Ángel issued a heartfelt plea: “In the name of our God, ‘God of all,’ I ask the leaders of the world for MERCY for the people of Gaza. No more deaths, no more pain, no more children starving on the brink of death.”
During the mission, we also held institutional meetings, including at the Spanish Embassy in Jordan, and visited key projects such as a safe house for women survivors of gender-based violence and a school for Iraqi refugee children.
Our headquarters in Jordan, run entirely by local staff, remains a cornerstone of our humanitarian work in the Middle East.
The situation is critical. Every minute counts. Thousands of families urgently need medical care, food, and protection. Together, we can multiply the impact and bring hope where it’s needed most. Thank you all for your generosity and support!
