Dear Supporter,
It's Mission:Possible time!
The Problem
The problem is that millions of children all over the world go without something that many of us take for granted: an education. One of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals is to achieve universal primary education, and this is the UN Goal we will be aiming to contribute to.
Many schools are often under-resourced and under-funded. Poor infrastructure and ailing classroom conditions make for a very poor and uninspiring environment in which to learn and teach. Due to financial and environmental conditions, schools may also struggle to attract suitable teachers.
The Solution
At GVI, we only support long term sustainable projects. Since we started, we have supported over 200 schools, through the training and supplying of qualified teachers, volunteers, interns, refurbishing classrooms and libraries, and improving educational environments and infrastructure.
In these 200 schools, we have supplied around 10,000,000 student hours of primary education around the world, as well as around 1,000,000 student hours of secondary and adult education, working with and training over 100,000 community members.
Therefore, in 2014 we are focusing our efforts on this critical initiative linked with the UN Millennium Development Goals and are looking for skilled and unskilled volunteers, fundraisers and donors to support us and help us jointly meet our aim.
If you would like to join us in either South Africa, Thailand or Costa Rica, please see below for the application form http://www.gvi.co.uk/programs/operation-universal-education-all
Thank you for supporting this cause.
All the best
