The overall objective of this project is working towards universal education for all. This global hands-on volunteer effort to improve educational facilities and infrastructure will be taking place across the same dates at GVI hubs in Cape Town, Thailand and Costa Rica.
In Thailand, project tasks this year will be helping to renovate a classroom at the Non Formal Education Centre (NFE) in Takuapa town and to whaconstruct a new massage studio for students to be trained in massage as part of their vocational education and training.
NFE is one of GVI’s main partner organizations at our Phang Nga hub and we aims to establish a long-term relationship by continuing to support NFE’s development projects. In doing so, GVI and NFE acknowledge the importance of reaching out to conscientious volunteers and making it possible for them to have a meaningful experience while volunteering in Thailand. Through volunteer helping hands, GVI believes that volunteers will provide many positive contributions to NFE.
We’re very exciting about this Global Initiative, and really looking forward to the opportunity to improve our schools in such a tangible way.
