By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warmest greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing happy meals for hungry children. One of the problems we encountered here is that we were unable to grow the food that we utlilize in order to feed the children because of the long dry season caused by the El Nino phenomenon. This month we are very happy because the rains has started to fall and plants will be able to grow again and harvest especially for vegetables will be around the corner. We are able to provide 30 women with vegetable seeds that they can grow and use for their own food and the surplus for the market. The vegetables are what is commonly grown here like tomato, eggplant, lady fingers, spinach, among others.
Hoping for your continuing help to our initiative.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
