Project Report | Jan 10, 2024
Mental Health Promotion & Substance Use Awareness

By Rustica Tembele | Project Leader

Our focus in the new year is on mobilizing volunteers, primarily students, to create and disseminate content related to mental health promotion, with a special emphasis on addressing alcohol abuse among youth.

Our team will engage students as key volunteers to spearhead educational and awareness-raising content tailored to the concerns of youth, particularly regarding substance abuse. The content will be distributed across various social media platforms to maximize reach and impact and preparations are underway to launch a talk series. This platform aims to facilitate community discussions, sharing of challenges, and mutual support. The primary focus is on unemployed youth, who are at a higher risk of substance abuse.
