Cancer treatments can be overwhelming, especially for children. This project will bring free art and music therapy sessions to young cancer patients in hospitals and care centers across Ghana. Through creative expression and emotional support, we aim to help 500 children annually overcome the psychological challenges of their illness and find joy during their healing journey.
Children undergoing cancer treatment in Ghana often face immense emotional and psychological stress. With limited access to holistic care, they miss opportunities to express their fears and cope positively. Emotional well-being is critical for recovery, but existing healthcare services rarely integrate this aspect.
This project will introduce art and music therapy as a complementary treatment across hospitals and care centers in Ghana. Skilled therapists and artists will facilitate interactive sessions to help children manage stress, enhance emotional resilience, and find comfort during treatment.
By integrating art and music therapy into cancer care nationwide, this project will advocate for the importance of holistic healing in Ghana's healthcare system. It will empower children to recover with hope and joy while setting a standard for compassionate care.
