Reduce gender violence from early childhood

We have talked about the reality of insecurity that exists in the city of San Cristóbal and the need to continue training with girls and boys accompanying working families for the promotion and defense of their rights, but this quarter we have focused on promoting the rights of girls and adolescent women, within the framework of #8M, Melel has accompanied a training process according to the age of little girls to encourage them to say what they think and feel regarding violence.

One of the fundamental rights is to live a life free of violence. From 2015 to 2022, 268 femicides were recorded in Chiapas, of which 23% were of girls and adolescents. San Cristóbal is the first place in the state.

It is necessary to promote the identification of emotions from early childhood, to be able to create tools for dialogue and assertive communication in times of stress, teamwork and eliminate gender stereotypes from a young age.
