We are thrilled to share that your support helped add 50 HIV+ children to our pediatric HIV care program. We now have 400 HIV+ orphans and vulnerable children under our care! These children are among the most vulnerable; most are sick and require continuous care, have lost one or both parents, and are being raised in impoverished homes. Enrollment in our programs brings many benefits to the children and their families; training in HIV care and prevention, food, medicines, and a package of life-saving healthcare services. In addition, our health care team is creating a personalized health plan for the 50 new children. We are confident that the new children will soon experience a marked improvement in health, so that they can live close to normal lives and attend school regularly.
At this time, direct beneficiaries of this program are 400 HIV+ children and indirect beneficiaries are an additional 2000 people as beneficiary families share their knowledge about HIV care and prevention with others in the community.
Thanks for giving the gift of health to HIV+ orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia.
