For 23 years, the Power of Love Foundation has provided a "Circle of Care" or comprehensive healthcare services in Zambia. But we knew a piece was missing. Mental health struggles—often are fueled by trauma, poverty, and the weight of HIV—frequently go untreated due to deep social stigma.
We are changing that. By partnering with the only mental health hospital in Lusaka, and deploying trained Community Health Workers for weekly home visits, we are now providing structured mental health support to women and adolescents. With 60 active patients and 500 more on our waiting list, the need is clear. We are not just treating symptoms; we are strengthening families and ensuring that mental wellness is part of every family's daily activity.
An investment in the provision of mental health services and support goes a long way in improving the overall health and morale of community members. We see this every day on the ground.
Your support for our programs in the areas of healthcare and education keep children in school and families healthy, stabilizes incomes, and grows leaders and entrepreneurs. As always, every dollar you donate goes directly to our programs—none is used for overhead costs.
Thank you for your dedication to provide healthcare and education to families in Zambia.
